Our group facilitators work to enable full social and economic participation for our clients in all aspects of Australian life. While our facilitators work across a range of funded programs, the primary focus of this role will be in the coordination and facilitation of our Settlement and Engagement Transition Support (SETS) in Melbourne’s West.Funded by the relevant department, Spectrum’s SETS activities include conversational English groups, employment preparation programs and various other group activities that support our clients to engage fully with the Australian community.Position PurposeThe successful candidate may at times coordinate and facilitate group activities across other programs within the Settlement & Family Services Department.Spectrum’s group facilitators coordinate all aspects of our group activities, from stakeholder liaison, program promotion and procurement of participants, to program design and facilitation, to evaluation and reporting.Our group facilitators also develop and deliver professional development workshops to both internal and external stakeholders, with the aim of developing the professional capacity and knowledge of staff to work more effectively with newly arrived families with CALD backgrounds.About youRelevant tertiary qualifications in community development, social work, psychology, adult training, or related disciplines.Experience in settlement, family support, or a related human service sector.More information including Key Responsibilities and Key Selection Criteria can be found on the Position Description attached.If this sounds like you apply now!
