Spectrum is seeking an experienced Family Worker to join our Settlement and Family Services team. Working with children and families, many of who, have experienced significant events and changes during their pre-settlement experiences including war, trauma, separation, loss and grief. However, these children are not usually provided with specialised support for their needs. The Senior Family Worker would provide specialist case work and secondary consultation for families where a child may have particular behavioural, mental health or social issues.In this vital role within our organisation, you will bring with you relevant tertiary qualitfications, demonstrated understanding of therapeutic approaches to working with children and an ability to apply the Strengths Based Model in practice with clients and engage families sensitively around parenting and family issues.
