We aspire for you to realise your dreams through the collective strength and wisdom of our shared community.Program PurposeThe Integration and Family support stream at Spectrum provides case management and other support services for humanitarian entrants, refugee, and migrants to ensure a positive settlement journey and integration into Australia. This follows Spectrums vision to see people from refugees and migrant background to feel at home in Australia.Position PurposeThe Case Support Worker will work predominantly in the Humanitarian Settlement Program (HSP), which provides settlement support to newly arrived humanitarian entrants, from their date of arrival and throughout their first 18 months in Australia.Key DeliverablesThey will support Spectrum’s case managers in:Conducting pre-arrival assessments of clients and their families before they arrive in Australia.Providing orientation information and transportation to assist clients to understand nd navigate Australian systems.Assisting to refer clients to specialist services as required, to address their settlement needs.Conducting regular welfare checks to ensure clients’ needs are being met and their questions answered.Escalating matters for follow-up to the team leader or relevant case manager.Appropriately recording and documenting all service delivery in a timely manner.Ensuring clients receive the most appropriate service within Spectrum.Supporting Case Managers, with their caseloads whilst they are on leave with the support of TL and other Case Managers.About youMinimum Certificate II in Community Services or similar field.Minimum 2 years’ experience in the refugee/settlement field and/or working with clients with culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.Current Working with Children’s Check.Fluency in a community language would be highly regarded – ideally Dari, Hazarghi or Pashto.Genuine commitment to social justice, diversity, and inclusion.Understanding of culturally responsive practice.Ability to apply strengths-based approaches in practice with clients.If you believe that this opportunity is a match for you, please click on the apply button and provide a cover letter addressing the key selection criteria, your CV, and a copy of your qualifications.Spectrum actively encourages and welcomes applications from all candidates.
