We aspire for you to realise your dreams through the collective strength and wisdom of our shared community.Program PurposeSpectrum has supported Melbourne’s refugee and migrant communities for over 40 years to feel at home in Australia and to participate fully in all aspects of Australian community life.Our Integration and Family Support team provides case management services for people with refugee and migrant backgrounds to enable a positive settlement journey.Our case managers deliver services across a range of funding streams.Position PurposeThe Case Manager will work predominantly work in the Family and Relationship Services Program (FaRs) to provide high quality support to refugee and migrant families, to help them improve their family relationships and parenting practices.Key DeliverablesEngaging with newly arrived families to strengthen parenting skills and family wellbeing.Giving one-to-one support to families experiencing parenting issues, intergenerational conflict, or separation and settlement stress.Providing home-based outreach services to families from multicultural backgrounds.Supporting the Settlement Engagement and Transition Support (SETS) Program, to provide general Case management planning assessment.Social support assessment and linking to community groups and other services as needed.Fortnightly home visits or appointments with clients/family.Have a wellness and reablement practice approach to case management.Monthly co-ordination to provide SKM material aid goods to Spectrum clientsAbout youRelevant qualifications (diploma level or higher) in social work, community services, community development, psychology, or related discipline. Case management experience with people with CALD backgrounds. Experience in providing settlement support to people with humanitarian backgrounds.Current Working with Children’s Check;Full Victorian driver’s license and own car.Genuine commitment to social justice, diversity, and inclusion.Demonstrated understanding of culturally responsive practice.Demonstrated ability to apply strengths-based approaches in practice with clients.Demonstrated understanding of the challenges faced by people with migrant and refugee backgrounds.If you believe that this opportunity is a match for you, please click on the apply button and provide a cover letter addressing the key selection criteria, your CV, and a copy of your qualifications.Spectrum actively encourages and welcomes applications from all candidates.
