Spectrum are currently seeking a Youth Settlement Worker within our Settlement Services Program. Working with young people (aged 12 to 25) from migrant and refugee backgrounds, you will support them in their settlement journey by enabling their social and economic inclusion into the Australian community. As a Youth Settlement Worker you willCoordinate social and recreational group activities for target young people;Work in partnership with local schools to deliver information sessions or programs and include young people in social and recreational activities;Coordinate school holiday programs and youth camps with fun recreational activities for newly arrived young people working in partnership with other relevant agencies.Contribute to project evaluations, research and submissions relevant to migrant and refugee young people;Deliver quality case work that meets both internal and external standards You will bring with youRelevant tertiary qualifications in Youth Work, Community Development, Social Work, Welfare Work, Psychology or a related discipline;Significant, proven experience working with young people from a diverse background;Ability to advocate for groups and individuals;Access to own vehicle for work purposes and current drivers licence and a Working with Children CheckWe are a values based organisation working together with individuals and families to help them successfully settle into all aspects of community life and feel at home in Australia.
