Homework Club Tutor – Volunteer

Would you like to do something tangible to help young people settle in Australia?  Volunteer to support our Homework Club.Spectrum’s Homework Club aims to provide educational support to primary and secondary students who are newly arrived from refugee or migrant background. Students are supported with their homework by volunteer tutors who either have qualifications or experience in teaching, or who have a high level of knowledge in relevant school subjects such as Math, English or Science.  Volunteer tutors are supported by and report to the Spectrum Homework Club Coordinator.The Homework Club was developed in response to a recognised need for specialised homework and study support for newly arrived young people from refugee and migrant background. It is operated by Spectrum, in partnership with the African Access Project Officer from Darebin Youth Services and runs every Wednesday during school terms:3pm-5pm at Preston North East Primary School - 93 Tyler St, Preston or6pm – 8pm at Reservoir Library, Level 2, 23 Edwardes Street, ReservoirAll appointments are made subject to satisfactory completion of Spectrum Safety Screening requirementsHomework Club Tutor - Volunteer AUD Australia - VIC Melbourne - All locations Northern Suburbs Preston 3072
